They have had 7 years to work on it but when they did introduce it, it led to widespread criticism and protests ( with many who voted for him coming out and opposing it). It is estimated that 14 million in 2018m and as much as 24 million by 2024 would lose coverage; it would increase costs for seniors ( as much as 10 times... from$1.700 under ASA to $ 14,700 under new plan. Conservative Republicans were opposed to it and so too, the Freedom Caucus and Trump and Ryan were forced to withdraw the bill.

He promised to bring back jobs in the coal industry but will not be able to deliver as coal is expensive in comparison to other sources of energy, so another broken promise, just like the one to use US steel for building pipelines. He has threatened to withdraw from the Paris Accord on the environment and to renegotiate NAFTA, so we will have to wait and see. Some of his Exec. Orders, like the one with the environment will be challenged in court, just like the Muslim ban was.
